Project Management 6302 The Family Planning Research Center of Nigeria Yu Hsu (Yeena) Project planning can best be described as the function of selecting the enterprise objectives and establishing the policies, procedures, and programs necessary for achieving them. In this case, Dr. Adinombe Watage is a director of the Family Planning Research Center in Nigeria’s Over-The- River Province. He was assigned a project needs to be done within 60 days and they just have 10 workers for this case. After they calculate, they found out that they need to spend 94 days to complete this project. If they use the Pathminder Fund to hire more employees to speed it up. They still need to estimate the lowest cost for this project. According to this table, to change some activities’ working days not only shorten the duration but also make the cost minimum. For this project, to use the Pathminder Fund is the best choice to complete the project. It will not let the project manager lose his credibility and can be done by the win-win situation. Do not change all of these activities, because it will cost a lot of money, $36,100. Recruit more 7 workers to complete this project in 60 days. Just change the eight activities, and make the cost minimum. The original cost is $25,400. To change eight activities’ cost is $34,300. For this change, the project can be done by 60 days also it won’t cost all of the Pathminder Fund. Human Resource Planning There are only ten people in this organization. It includes the deputy director, Dr. Adinombe Watage, chief clerk, chief nurse and seven workers. For complete this project, recruit more seven people as a worker to complete this project. The main purpose of large corporations like Coca Cola, or any corporations for that matter, is to sell. The public knows that, or so it claims. Does it completely understand that when it complains that Coca Cola’s advertising doesn’t reveal the entire story? Companies in this century have to do anything possible to sell the product, especially with all of the new nutritional information. Ideally, lying to the consumers would not occur, but companies must make a living somehow. However, even though so much evidence against any health benefits of Coca Cola have come out, the company really should not be marketing to the point where the advertisement is on the border of being propaganda versus persuasion. A YouTube video by the name of†¦show more content†¦What can be taken from these two articles together in conjunction with the YouTube videos is that advertising is a means to sell a product, not to inform the public of anything. It is, in a sense, propaganda. The first piece of evidence to take into account is the original advertisement by Coca Cola. The general idea of the ad is promoting Coca Cola’s new initiative to help stop diabetes. The video makes several points, including the new drinks that have little to no calories and smaller versions of popular sodas. The narrator also lightly touches on how Coca Cola has worked with schools to lower the amount of products sold there (Marketsmith Inc.). At first view, the advertisement seems to be a very positive one with a great message. Looking back over it however, it is easy to notice the fallacies throughout. Coca Cola states that the company is fighting to stop diabetes, but common knowledge suggests that drinking sodas or any form of empty calories is a large contributor to the disease. The commercial then goes on to state that 180 out of over 680 drinks have low calories or none at all. The number seems high until it processes that the amount of drinks with low calories is bare ly a quarter of the total amount of drinks Coca Cola has to offer. That’s not much. Entry for National Honor Society Inuction Essay People say high school is supposed to be the golden years of your life. I don’t know what else in life is to come; however, my philosophy is to live in the moment and make the life you’re living in the present worthwhile into the future, not only for you but for those who surround you. I live my life participating in our community and getting involved in our school. The activities, and the people I’ve formed relationships with, are what have formed me into the person I have become today. The person I am today is not perfect, but I have learned from the mistakes I’ve made. I think the sense of maturity I have developed throughout my life has given me the determination to be the best person I can be. That being said, I would love to be inducted into the National Honor Society and not only represent our school, but represent our generation to the community not as a â€Å"selfie† generation but as a generation, with great potential. Growing up, my parents never expected perfection but expected that I try to accomplish my best. The effort I’ve put forth in learning has been reflected in my grades throughout my high school career. I’ve entered myself in vigorous course work such as AP Government and AP English to become well prepared for my college career, all while maintaining a 4.4 grade point average this year. Not only do I engage in AP classes, but up until this year I had no study halls. I wanted my day to be packed full of interesting classes that I would enjoy learning about. My grades and choice of classes prove the effort that I put forth in my learning. Working hard now can only pay off in the future. Learning now creates a well-rounded human being. Working to learn is why I am so dedicated to my studies now. If there is o. .e school, such as; Pelotonia, Light the Night for leukemia and lymphoma, Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities, etc†¦ For many of these organizations I have volunteered more than once. Volunteering at Light the Night has a story. For my 16th Birthday party, I wanted to have my friends and I volunteer in the day while having fun at night. So I had 7 boys and girls, along with me, volunteer for Light the Night, organized by me. The party was a huge success and a lot of fun. I look forward to organizing more volunteer opportunities for my friends and I. I believe the National Honor Society is a national symbol for good deeds, class, and intelligence. I would be honored to be inducted and be a member of an organization that represents service and intelligence. I believe both of those attributes help define who I am today and who I want to be tomorrow.
